It’s exhausting, trying to act normal. I’ve spent my life as an outsider, usually bullied, with only a few close friends because I was different (growing up, I didn’t know I was autistic).
My interactions are often me simply copying what I’ve seen others do with mixed results ranging from acceptable to catastrophic failure.
Even my ideal marriage is based on a show.
It’s a lot of effort, and there’s not a lot of reward. I’m beyond fatigued.

Alright, I must know, what show did you base your ideal marriage on?
The Addams Family (specifically the Television Series). Not the goth, nor the macabre, nor the silliness. But the way they are totally, 100% madly in love with each other. They are so sold out on each other.
I knew that you were somewhat different, but I didn’t know how or why. Besides, it really was none of my business. But what you have written here serves as an open door; at least, that’s the way I see it.
An open door is not necessarily an invitation. So, I will wait here at the threshold until I am sure that you would welcome my entrance. LH
You may enter.
