On January 1st, a little after 5am, a drunk driver ran a red light going over 50mph and hit my passenger side as I was on my way to work.
The next 4 days were filled with unimaginable pain and surgeries and I nearly died a couple times.
God kept saying, “not today”.
I won’t go into the details of my injuries but there were internal injuries as well as external.
In the hospital for almost a month and a skilled nursing center for a little over a month and a half.
Out of work for four months.
Not healed yet and have a long way to go and one more surgery in my future.
It has not been my most fun year so far.
I’ve always been blessed with a good family and they pulled together and helped me through it as did friends and coworkers.
I wouldn’t have come out as well as I did if I didn’t have them.
I think… that’s all I want to say about it at this time.
