People Notice

Well, specifically, your unknown reader is checking in.

Does someone read your blog every week?

They will notice when you haven’t posted last week.

And they’ll want to know if you are okay.

So… are you okay?

People notice.

People who read your blog, notice when you don’t post.

People, whom you don’t even know are reading your blog, notice.

I remember, back when I blogged regularly about internet marketing and blogging, I wrote an off-topic post about someone else’s blog whom I had a minor crush on.

I got a comment from someone, a stranger actually, about how I might have been hard up for ideas on things to write about.

So, I had at least one regular blog reader, that I never knew existed.

In fact, I didn’t know I had any readers at all. I just wrote posts about a subject I knew well.

So I wrote a post that had nothing to do with internet marketing and I don’t know if I even tried to tie it in.

And they noticed.

I didn’t even know they knew I existed, much less read my blog… and regularly, apparently.

And eventually, I lost my readers, because I became inconsistent with my writing.

Like I have now, again.

So, even if you don’t have time to write an actual blog post, you do actually have time to write a post that tells your readers that you didn’t have time to write a proper blog post but you will write one next week.

And although this writing regularly does ultimately help you if you are promoting any kind of product or service, that’s not why you do it.

You do this so your readers know that you are considerate of them.

Because people notice that too.

So, well done on having a fan base, one that you may not even know exists.

Keep up the good work… consistently.
